New Construction Giveaways, Homa Bay & Ndhiwa
Neema-Sozo has made a remarkable impact through its charitable initiatives, most notably with the completion of its first home giveaway in April 2022. The first Homa Bay House was donated to a family of five displaced refugees of war, offering them a stable and nurturing environment in which to rebuild their lives. This act of generosity did not stand alone; later that year, Neema-Sozo extended its kindness by gifting another family of refugees displaced by war in a neighboring community. These efforts underscore Neema-Sozo's commitment to providing shelter and hope to those in need, reflecting the organization's dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable families.

Family-Style Social Housing- Multiple Locations
Operations began at Nyumba ya Watoto Home (Children’s Home) in Nairobi, Kenya March, 2023. Adopting 6 children (keeping two sets of siblings together) Neemas-Sozo immediately begin to provide a safe home environment, food, clothing, medical and access to integrating into the local community (school & church) Each home has live-in House Moms who provide 24/7 care. The Compound is fully powered with a stove & refrigerator, security, and WiFi access. Each child had full medical insurance and was all enrolled in school and excelling in their current curriculum.
In 2024, a significant milestone was achieved with the construction of a second location dedicated to supporting homeless and parentless children. On May 10, ten more children found new homes through adoption, marking a heartwarming advancement in their lives. These children are now fully covered by medical insurance, ensuring they receive necessary healthcare without any financial burden. Furthermore, they have been enrolled in school, providing them with the education and opportunities they need to thrive. As they settle into their new environment, they are gradually becoming acclimated, forming bonds, and building a sense of belonging in their new community. This initiative not only transforms the lives of the children but also enriches the community by fostering inclusivity and compassion.

Education Assistance
Neema-Sozo is making a significant impact in Kenya by sponsoring the education of 18 children attending primary and secondary schools, as well as two young men enrolled at University of Nairobi and Kenyatta University. This support goes beyond just covering tuition fees; it includes providing off-campus housing, groceries, and transportation to ensure these students have the resources they need to focus on their studies and personal growth. Our initial participant graduated East Africa Institute of Certified Studies in December 2022.
By alleviating these financial and logistical burdens, Neema-Sozo empowers students to achieve academic success and build a brighter future. This holistic approach not only enhances educational opportunities but also fosters a supportive environment that encourages personal development and resilience.

Disaster/Emergency Relief
The series of unfortunate events in Nairobi, including the Embakasi East Gas Explosion in February 2024 and the El Niño floods in May 2024, highlighted the resilience and compassion within the community and support systems. In response to the gas explosion, two college students who were displaced received comprehensive support. They were relocated to new housing and had all their essential belongings replaced, including clothing, laptops, and furniture, ensuring they could continue their education and daily lives with minimal disruption. Additionally, medical insurance and out-of-pocket costs for surgery were covered for one of the victims who suffered internal injuries, ensuring they received the necessary medical care without financial burden.
In May 2024, the devastating El Niño floods in Kenya led to the relocation of Neema-Sozo operations and displaced college students, to safer, elevated areas after houses were inundated and later swept away. The affected received new housing along with the complete replacement of their belongings, facilitating a fresh start after the traumatic event. These efforts reflect a proactive approach to disaster management, prioritizing the well-being and swift recovery of those impacted by such natural calamities. The Foundation's dedication to rebuilding lives and providing comprehensive support during these challenging times stands as a testament to human solidarity and resilience that Neema-Sozo stands for.

The Hesed House, Ndhiwa
Future Site of Hesed Community Farms:
A Self-Sustaining Farming Community
The Hesed House Social Housing Project in Homa Bay, Kenya, represents a compassionate initiative to provide shelter and support to those in need. In August 2023, the project was launched by the Foundation following the acquisition of the first home give-a-way property after the passing of the recipient, who left behind three young children. With the aim of safeguarding these children, Neema-Sozo stepped in to adopt and relocate them to Nairobi, ensuring their well-being and future prospects.
This act of kindness did not stop there; the Foundation purchased the 4-acre homestead and transformed it into a sanctuary for a refugee family, offering them a chance to rebuild their lives. The Hesed House stands as a beacon of hope and a testament to the power of community-driven efforts to address social housing needs and uplift vulnerable populations.
Future Expansion of Hesed Community Farms/Self-Sustaining Farm Community.
Neema-Sozo's visionary goal to establish a sustainable community in Homa Bay County is both ambitious and compassionate, aimed at tackling the pressing issue of homelessness and providing a dignified pathway for refugees and homeless individuals to secure stable housing. By creating a supportive environment where people can transition from temporary shelters to permanent homes, Neema-Sozo seeks to not only alleviate immediate housing needs but also foster long-term stability and community integration. This initiative underscores the importance of sustainable development, social inclusion, and empowerment, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to rebuild their lives with security and dignity. Through collaborative efforts with local authorities, NGOs, and community members, Neema-Sozo hopes to serve as a model for other regions facing similar challenges, ultimately contributing to a reduction in homelessness and an improvement in quality of life for the citizens in the Ndhiwa & Homa Bay region.
